Kevin Feige Confirms Talks With Ryan Reynolds About the Future of Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU Are Ongoing

Kevin Feige made the rounds this weekend, talking about the future of the MCU and some of our favorite characters. Two that unsurprisingly popped into the conversation were Deadpool and Wolverine.

While we don’t know what lies ahead for the pair, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, respectively, regarding their futures in the Marvel roles, Feige did confirm their futures are part of a bigger discussion.

When asked at a round-table interview if he saw the actors in his vision of the MCU’s future, Feige explained:

“There have absolutely been discussions. We’re in touch with Ryan a lot. So the answer is yes.” When pressed further about Hugh Jackman specifically, Feige joked: “He’s doing it until he’s 90, man.”

As of right now, it’s unclear where they’ll appear next. Neither have been announced as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, though it would be unsurprising to see them appear as a surprise.

Marvel is mapping out its next three phases, and what saga will come next post-Secret Wars, so it’s possible they could appear after that as well.
