Kevin Feige Confirms That the Eternals Do Know About the Avengers in the MCU
The first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were pretty intertwined, with characters from each film coming together in one way or another. So while we are all super stoked about the new films that are bringing brand new comic book characters to the screen in the next phase, it is interesting to wonder if and how the new characters will work in with the established Avengers we know and love.
At this past weekend’s Comic Convention in Brazil, MCU President Kevin Feige released the first footage of the highly anticipated new ensemble superhero film Eternals, and he answered some questions about the movie that helped clear up our intrigue. When asked how the Eternals will interact with the Avengers, Feige said:
“The Eternals know about the existence of The Avengers. The Avengers don’t know much about The Eternals…Yet. Celestials are a big part of it, you’ve seen a little of the Celestials in Guardians of the Galaxy. Nowhere is the severed head of a Celestial. We will see the Celestials in their full, true enormous power in The Eternals.”
That’s pretty exciting! It’s crazy to think there could be any more star power in these films, but combining the Eternals with the Avengers just makes for a crazy combination, and gigantic stories can be told on earth as well as in the vastness of space. I am so freaking excited to see what’s in store, especially after fans have reacted to the first footage saying that this movie is completely different and will change everything for the MCU. I can’t wait to see what that means!
Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 6, 2020. Less than a year now! Are you excited?
