Kevin Feige Says The Watchers Are Shared Between Marvel and Fox

Movie UatuMarvelFox by Mick Joest

With Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2 now in theaters, Kevin Feige has now officially confirmed that The Watchers are a shared property between both Marvel and Fox. Apparently, some characters in the Marvel universe offer shared custody between the two, and the Skrulls also fall into that category. Kevin Feige opened up about this in an interview with /Film. When asked about it, he said:

"No. There’s joint custody with a number of things. There are certain characters that they have, but races that we share. If that makes sense?"

While Marvel may be able to feature Watchers in their film, it's more than likely that Fox owns the rights to Uatu, who is the Watcher specifically assigned to Earth.

Now, that seems a bit tricky considering many thought when they saw Stan Lee in GOTG2 that he was Uatu in human form. While that sounds like a cool theory, I think legally that is not the case. What do you think?
