Kevin Feige Thinks Marvel TV and Marvel Movies Will Crossover... One Day
Even though the Marvel TV shows and the Marvel movies are set in the same universe, they've never really had full on crossovers. We've seen Sif and Nick Fury show up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but we've never really seen any of the TV characters show up in a Marvel movie. For the most part, it seems like the series and movies are trying to avoid each other.
As you know, Marvel has a ton of new series to add to their current line of shows that include The Defenders, Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, New Warriors, and The Punisher. With all of these series in development, is there more of a chance that one day we will start to see all these characters collide with each other?
In a recent interview with io9, Kevin Feige was asked if a character showing up on TV one-hundred percent means those characters can’t end up in a movie in the future, and this was his reply:
"Not necessarily. The future’s a long time. So, the truth is, I don’t really know, but there are a lot of TV shows being made, and hopefully we’ll continue to make a lot of movies. At some point, there’s going to be a crossover. Crossover, repetition, or something."
There are a lot of characters from the films and the series that I'd love to see team up- Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Punisher. That would be badass! One thing Feige makes clear is that as of right now, there are no plans in place for any major crossovers. But he does seem to think that one day it will happen.
What are some characters that you'd like to see team up?
