Kevin Feige's STAR WARS Movie Will Be Written by LOKI Writer Michael Waldron
Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film project is moving forward! Lucasfilm has hired Michael Waldron to write the script for the film. He previously wrote Marvel’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and also served as head writer and executive producer on the upcoming Disney+ series Loki.
We don’t know much about Feige’s Star Wars film or the story that will tell, but we do know that it will explore new people and places in that universe. Feige previously said:
“I love that world and I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe. But that’s sort of all that can be said for now.”
It has also been reported that “Feige has told a major actor that there’s a specific role he would like that person to play if and when he makes the movie.” We know nothing about who that actor is or the character that he wants that actor to play. One thing we know for sure is that Feige’s story will not be connected to the Skywalker saga or any of the other projects that are currently in development.
On top of writing this new Star Wars film, Waldron is also expected to come back in some capacity to work on the second season of Loki. Obviously Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm have a lot of confidence in Waldron and his future as a writer.
It was recently reported that Patty Jenkins is also developing a Star Wars movie titled Rogue Squadron. It’ll be interesting to see what comes of that.
With Kevin Fiege’s deep love for the Star Wars franchise, and his glorious track record of Marvel films that he’s produced, I can’t wait to see what he bring to the Star Wars franchise!
