Kevin Hart is Officially Set To Host The Oscars Next Year

Kevin Hart is confirmed to be officially hosting the 91st Academy Awards. He will be the fourth African American to host the show, following Richard Pryor (1977, 1983), Whoopi Goldberg (1993, 1995, 1998, 2001) and Chris Rock (2005, 2016).

I think Kevin Hart is hilarious. I enjoy his stand-up comedy and most of the films that he’s been a part of. They guy just makes me laugh and I’m actually kind of excited to see what kind of humor he brings to the Oscars.

I haven’t really enjoyed watching the Oscars the past few years. It just hasn’t been as entertaining as it used to be. For me, I think that the entertainment aspect of the show has been replaced with politics. Hopefully, Hart can bring the fun back to the show! The comedian had this to say in an Instagram post:

It’s pretty cool to see that he’s so excited and happy to land the gig. I’m sure he’ll have a blast with it. What do you all think about Hart hosting the Oscars next year?

This year, the Award ceremony will only last three hours, and there’s still discussion on whether or not they will include the “Popular” film category.

The 2019 Academy Awards will take place on February 24th on ABC. Nominations are set for January 22nd.
