Kevin Smith Has an Emotional Response To His CAPTAIN MARVEL Easter Egg

After Kevin Smith saw Captain Marvel, he posted this photo of himself on Instagram with his eyes welled up with tears. Why? Because there was an Easter egg in the film that referenced him.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, and you don’t want the Easter egg spoiled for you then…

The Kevin Smith reference comes along with Stan Lee’s big cameo in the film. When Brie Larson enters a train looking for her Skrull target, she sees Stan Lee sitting down with a script of Smith’s film Mallrats, and he is practicing his lines. With the film being set in the 90s, this is the perfect freakin’ cameo for Lee and the audiences loved it!
