Kevin Smith is Planning a Sequel To His Crazy-ass Horror Movie TUSK

Kevin Smith’s 2014 horror film Tusk was absolutely insane and nightmarishly horrifying. It’s easily one of the craziest movies that Smith has made and well, if you liked the film, you’ll be happy to learn that he’s developing a sequel!

Justin Long recently spilled the news during an interview with /Film saying: "You'll be happy to hear, Kevin [Smith] just announ– I mean, I guess they're talking about it. They're doing Tusk 2, I think." The actor went on to say:

"He texted us all the other day, Haley [Joel Osment] and Genesis [Rodriguez], and he told us that he wanted to do it, and I thought it was a joke. And then I realized he was being serious. And then one of the [other] interviewers said, 'Yeah, he said the same to me.'"

So, if Smith knocks out a script and can get the funding together, we might actually see this sequel happen, and I can’t even begin to imagine what that sequel might entail! I just imagine it’s going to get even more insane than what the first film delivered.

This isn’t the first time that a Tusk sequel has been brought up. Smith previously opened up about his idea for the story during an interview with Twitch in 2020 saying:

"There's a version of Tusk 2 that you do where... you cut to the present, and somebody else gets sucked into the spider's web. The house, you hear stories, and when you get to the house, the new Howard Howe is Wallace, who has gotten out of the walrus trappings and stuff and is obviously disturbed by his entire ordeal and is now doing it to others. So there's a way to do Tusk 2 where Justin becomes Michael Parks's character. Wallace becomes, sort of, the new Howard Howe."
