Kevin Smith Shares Three Posters For CLERKS III; Trailer Coming on Wednesday
Kevin Smith has shared three promo posters for his upcoming film Clerks III. The release of these posters are all leading up to the trailer premiere, which is coming on Wednesday.
The most recent poster features Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) as they look at the Quick Stop, and a few characters standing in front of it including Jason Mewes as Jay, and Smith as Silent Bob. There are also a couple of new characters. The poster also features the caption: "They're too old for this shift."
In Clerks III, “following a massive heart attack, Randal enlists Dante, Elias, Jay and Silent Bob to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all.” The returning cast includes Rosario Dawson as Becky.

The reason Dante gives for the steel shutters of @quickstopgroceries being closed throughout #Clerks is because someone jammed gum in the locks. But the real reason the steel shutters were closed was because we shot most of Clerks in the dead of night or the wee, small hours of the morning, when the store was closed. That sign gag only existed to hide the strings on our little puppet show! I hand-markered (not shoe polished) the sheet myself in 1993, so Dante forever has my handwriting - which you can see in this, our second pre-release poster from the fun folks in the @lionsgate marketing department! And on Wednesday July 6th, we’ll take you beyond the steel shutters to show you the #clerks3 trailer! The first 19 Tour dates go on sale that day too, with a second wave of cities announced at @comic_con - where you’ll find me stationed at @tinroofsandiego which is cosplaying as a @moobyspopup! But on Saturday night, come see me in Hall H - because I’m bringing the cast with me and we’re gonna show #comiccon the first 5 minutes of Clerks III!
Now in the fall of 2022, you’ll see Dante and Randal do something similar, when CLERKS III hits the screens! And on WEDNESDAY, JULY 6th, you’ll get your first look at the joyful @clerksmovie trailer when @lionsgate debuts it worldwide IN 2 DAYS! In Poster 3, we see our heroes Dante and Randal (@briancohalloran & #jeffanderson) are back, @jayandsilentbob are still loitering (with Bob’s briefcase handcuffed to his wrist a’la Elwood Blues and @jaymewes sporting a @newjerseydevilsofficial sweater), and genial Jesus-junkie Elias (#trevorfehrman) has a new look and a new friend (played by Son-in-Lockdown’s @austinzajur)! Together, these retailers will face the challenge of a lifetime in an artistic attempt to tell the story of their lives - all while still selling cigarettes and cereal!
