Kevin Smith Suffers a Massive Heart Attack and He Explains What Happened
Director Kevin Smith recently reached out to his fans on social media to share some crazy and scary news that he suffered a massive heart attack and he would have died had he not canceled a comedy special to go to the hospital. He posted a photo of himself from the hospital bed with a note saying:
“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!"
Smith is only 47 years old but as you know, it doesn't look like he's in the best shape. I imagine after an experience like this, he might think about living a healthier lifestyle. Life is fragile and you never know what hand it's going to deal out.
I'm glad to hear that he's ok. I'm sure he'll be back in action in no time doing the things that he loves to do, but maybe this time, a little bit more on the healthy side.
