Kickass New Trailer For The Russo Bros. Assassin School Series DEADLY CLASS
We’ve got a great new trailer to share with you today for the upcoming action series Deadly Class, which is set at a school for assassins where a bunch of young men and women learn the deadly art of killing people in all kinds of assassin-like ways.
The series was developed by Avengers: Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo for the Syfy Channel and it looks pretty damn entertaining. Deadly Class is based on the Image Comics property created by Rick Remender and Wes Craig. I’ve never read the comic, but it looks like it will make for an awesome series! I also trust that the Russo Bros. are going to give us top notch entertainment.
This is the synopsis that was released for Deadly Class:
Set in a dark, heightened world against the backdrop of late ‘80s counterculture, Deadly Class follows the story of Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth), a teen living on the streets who is recruited into Kings Dominion, an elite private academy where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques and his own adolescent uncertainties soon proves to be vital. Based on the best-selling 2014 Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, Deadly Class is a coming-of-age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst.
Joe Russo previously said this about the series:
"Deadly Class is one of the more twisted coming-of-age stories we’ve ever read. It does an amazing job of exploring teenage years and the sense of alienation that you feel. The first time we read the book we were blown away. That’s why we’re standing here working on the show."
Anthony Russo continued:
"There’s a mix of a lot of different sensibilities spanning everything from our more intense action work in Captain America: The Winter Soldier to like some of our more absurdist sensibilities."
The series stars Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Benjamin Wadsworth (Teen Wolf), Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse, Alita: Battle Angel), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky, Sitiados), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Way Way Back, The Killing) and Michel Duval (Señora Acero, Queen of the South).
Deadly Class is set to premiere in 2019.
