Kid Cudi Joins BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC

Grammy winner Scott Mescudi a.k.a Kid Cudi is the latest to join the cast of Bill & Ted Face the MusicThere’s no information on who he’ll be playing, but he will join the previously cast Keanu ReevesAlex Winter, William Sadler, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is directing the film from a script written by original franchise screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Here’s the synopsis that was released for the movie:

Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves).  Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.  Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

Kid Cudi may be one of a few “music legends” who end up appearing in the film. Cudi has previously appeared in films Need for Speed and Entourage as well at TV shows such as How to Make It in America, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, One Tree Hill and IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang!.

I’m just so happy that this movie is actually happening! There was a time where I honestly didn’t think it would, but it’s now in development and there’s no doubt that it’s going to be an excellent film.

Orion Pictures will release Bill & Ted Face the Music on August 21st, 2020.
