KINGDOM HEARTS 4 Is Being Made with the Intention of Bringing the Story to an End
The Kingdom Hearts game franchise has had a long and successful run, and fans are loving what the series has given them. Kingdom Hearts 4 is currently in development, and according to director Tetsuya Nomura, this next chapter will be the beginning of the end.
While Speaking to the Japanese publication Young Jump, Nomura about Kingdom Hearts 4 and what it will entail. He explains that the game is being viewed as “a reset point for the franchise and should hopefully be easy for new fans to get into.”
Nomura also teased that Kingdom Hearts 4 will begin an arc that he intends to complete before he retires. He said:
"Speaking of things without dreams, I only have a few years left until I retire, so it's like I have to decide whether to retire first or finish the series first. I'm making Kingdom Hearts 4 now with the intention of it being a story that will be completed."
Nomura didn't say how many more games in the franchise he intends to make, but if he’s retiring in a few years, and there’s a story he wants to complete, then there won’t be many more.
Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced by Square Enix back in 2022 but there’s not a lot of information on it.
