Konami Announces 2023 SPEED DUEL GX BOX for YU-GI-OH!
Konami is thinking far into the future for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fans. The company recently announced details for the 2023 Speed Duel GX Box which will release on March 31, 2023. Now, the name of the product will most likely change between now and then, but we’re roughly eight months out from that date, so this is some news well in advance. Like previous Speed Duel Boxes for Yu-Gi-Oh!, this one has eight pre-constructed decks, new skills, Secret Rare upgrades for some of the cards, and additional cards for you to fiddle with the decks a little and really customize them.
So, what are the deck themes this time? Well, villains appear to be the name of the game with the press release mentioning Titan’s Archfiend deck that has a Chess them, Amnael’s alchemy deck featuring Helios, and Supreme King’s Evil HEROes. However, under the skills, we are teased that there will be something to help you make a Dark Scorpion deck like Detective Zaloog which I would love. There’s also mention of the Sacred Beasts, so that’s definitely going to be at least one of the decks.
The 2023 Speed Duel GX Box will have an MSRP of $29.99 and contain 200 Commons, 20 Skill Cards, and 8 (of 24) Secret Rares. What decks do you hope to see? Can we get a Venom deck? I would play that in a heartbeat! I’m guessing we’ll also see a Yubel deck.
