Konami Drops CASTLEVANIA: SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT on Mobile Out of the Blue

Konami recently made a surprise announcement. The classic PlayStation game, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has been released for mobile platforms. For a mere $2.99, you can relive one of the most beloved entries in the franchise. This is perfect, considering the fact that season 3 of the hit Netflix Castlevania series premieres this Friday.

After Richter Belmont’s defeat of Count Dracula, the vampire hunter vanishes without a trace. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night brings players into a story five years later, this time as Alucard, the son of Dracula. In order to purge the world of his own cursed blood line, Alucard attempts to repress his vampiric powers and enter in to what was meant to be an eternal slumber. However with no Belmonts to storm the castle and address the evil in his homeland, Alucard awakens from his self-induced sleep and decides to investigate what transpired during his slumber.

The mobile port of Symphony of the Night uses DotEmu and features full controller support, save states, achievements, and six languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Italian and Spanish. In addition, you can now stream the soundtrack over on Spotify!

You can purchase Castlevania: Symphony of the Night now on Android and iOS.
