Konami Reveals New GENESIS IMPACT Set for YU-GI-OH! this Winter
Konami has recently announced a new set for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans to enjoy called Genesis Impact. This pack will be a new 60-card set similar to Toon Chaos with the same rarity distribution and number of cards per pack and will be the second set to feature the new Collector’s Rare that fans are hyped about. So, what are we getting? Well, three new deck strategies will be included according to the press release, but one of those is being kept a secret.
We know that one strategy is all about famous spellcasters like Aleister, Endymion, and Verre. This strategy will tell the stories of these famous monsters and rely on every Extra Deck mechanic except Pendulum.
Aleister, Verre, Endymion…you know their names, but how well do you really know them? Genesis Impact delves deep into the secret history of some of Dueling’s most famous Spellcasters! To get the full story you’ll need to manage Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Link Summoning, all in the same Deck.
The other known strategy goes back to Ritual Monsters. Apparently, we’ll gain the ability to bring out “nearly every Ritual Monster in the game from your hand or Graveyard by Tributing Machine monsters whose ATK equal or exceed that monster’s ATK.” Apparently, this new support won’t rely on levels and these monsters will all have 2000 ATK to make meeting requirements pretty easy.
Each pack will include 7 cards: 1 foil and 6 Rare cards. Here’s the rarity distribution:
