Konami Reveals Some Details for Two New YU-GI-OH! TCG Items

Update: A mock-up image of the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles has been added.

Update: A mock-up image for Legendary Duelists: Synchro Storm has been added.

Konami recently announced two new products for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG for 2021. First, we have Legendary Duelists: Synchro Storm which will supply new cards for strategies that specialize in Wind-Attribute monsters (Harpies not included). Yugo’s Speedroid strategy with Clear Wing Synchro Dragon are going to be revisited. Then, we get Sherry LeBlanc’s cards like Chevalier de Fleur. Then, we’ve got Lulu’s Lyrilusc strategy from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.

New support cards will aid the Level 1 Winged Beasts strategy which can even mix with the Tri-Brigade cards. In addition, one card in the set will be available as a coveted Ghost Rare. Since Clear Wing Synchro Dragon has already been at that rarity, I doubt that’s it. It could be Chevalier de Fleur though which was originally just a video game promo card. You’ll be able to buy Synchro Storm on July 16 for $1.99 per pack. What do you expect to see?

  • 9 Ultra Rares

  • 8 Super Rares

  • 10 Rares

  • 29 Commons

    • 1 card from the set will also appear as a Ghost Rare.

The other new product is the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles. Featuring the middle section of the Pharaonic tablet to go with the 2020 Tin of Lost Memories, the tin will include popular cards from 2020. There will also be 3 World Premiere cards focused once again on Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon. My personal wishlist for the tin include the Dogmatika cards, Triple Tactics Talent, Forbidden Droplet, Accesscode Talker, and Lightning Storm. Each tin will have 3 Mega-Packs with 1 Prismatic Secret Rare, 2 Ultra Rares, 2 Super Rares, 1 Rare, and 12 Commons. You can purchase your 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles on August 27 for $19.99. What do you hope to see in this set?

Most Duelists never noticed, but the 2020 tins, and now the 2021 tins, have embossed/debossed sides, and rimless lids that fit flush with the tin body, allowing the tins to be stacked on top of each other to build the entire Pharaonic tablet – once all three pieces have been assembled
