KPOP DEMON HUNTERS Could End 2025 With a Record-Breaking Half a Billion Views on Netflix

The animated phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters just keeps climbing, and it’s on track to close out the year with an absolutely staggering half a billion views on Netflix.

According to What’s On Netflix, which has been closely following the movie’s performance through Netflix’s official Top 10 data, the numbers don’t lie. If KPop Demon Hunters keeps losing only about 10% of its weekly viewership, it could easily hit the 500 million mark by December 28.

The movie is still holding strong as Netflix’s third most popular film of the week, pulling in another 14.6 million views from October 20 to October 26 alone.

Right now, the film’s total views are over 400 million, though Netflix’s 91-day tracking window officially capped its run at 325.1 million. Still, KPop Demon Hunters remains Netflix’s biggest success story to date. It’s not just the streamer’s most-watched movie ever, it’s Netflix’s most popular title of all time.

The movie’s momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing either. A short film is reportedly in the pipeline, and a full sequel is already in development. Fans can also catch a special sing-along version of KPop Demon Hunters returning to theaters for Halloween weekend after it originally dominated the box office during its first release.

However, Netflix isn’t pivoting away from streaming premieres anytime soon. “Our strategy is to give our members exclusive first-run movies on Netflix,” said Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, adding that the theatrical success was possible “because it was released on Netflix first.”

With its blend of music, style, and supernatural action, KPop Demon Hunters has become a global pop culture event. Whether you’re singing along in theaters or streaming it at home, one thing’s clear, this monster hit is far from finished.
