KRAVEN THE HUNTER Casts CATCH-22 Actor Christopher Abbott as The Foreigner
Catch-22 star Christopher Abbott will join Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Sony’s upcoming Marvel film project Kraven The Hunter. Abbott will be taking on the role of the film’s main villain, The Foreigner. This character is one of Spider-Man’s bigger adversaries in the comics.
The Foreigner is a highly intelligent, assassin and mercenary who is also a master of disguise. The character doesn’t have any special powers, but he’s in peak physical condition and is a self-made badass. It will be interesting to see how the creative team weaves this story together and what leads Kraven and The Foreigner to face off with each other.
The cast for the film also includes Ariana DeBose as Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, and Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, and Alessandro Nivola as an unknown villain.
J.C. Chandor is directing the pic with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing. The script for the film is being written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man). The initial draft of the script was written by Richard Wenk.
