Kristen Bell to Voice Character Amy Rose in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4 at Paramount
Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Frozen, Nobody Wants This) has signed on to voice the character Amy Rose in the upcoming Sonic sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
The fan favorite character from the Sonic video game franchise was teased in the credits at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024). Ben Schwartz, who voices Sonic, made the announcement on social media. The film is set to bow on March 19, 2027 with Schwartz reprising his role along with Jeff Fowler returning to direct.
When I asked my Sonic-aficionado son about the addition of the character Amy Rose, he said it’s a very deeply-rooted backstory, but summed it up, calling her Sonic’s one-sided love interest, with Amy being the one in love, and Sonic being the object of her affection.
These Sonic movies are so much better than they have any business being. They are funny and well-made, and every end credit teases another fan-favorite character teasing a new great sequel adventure.
Stay tuned for updates on this next film, which is also set to welcome back Idris Elba as Knuckles and James Marsden as Tom.
