Kristen Stewart Looks Exactly Like Princess Diana in First Look Photo From Biopic SPENCER
A first look photo has been released from the upcoming biopic Spencer, where we get to see Kristen Stewart looking exactly like Princess Diana. The film has begun principal photography and is set to follow “a weekend over Christmas at Sandringham – which sees Diana make the decision to leave Prince Charles.”
The synopsis reads:
"December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales' marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different."
Stewart is joined in the cast by Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, and Sean Harris. Pablo Larrain (Jackie) is directing the film from a script by Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Locke).
Stewart talked about the story, saying:
"Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life. It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name; Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her."
I think Stewart looks fantastic in the role and really captures the essence of Diana. I am excited to see this movie. What do you think about Stewart in the role?
