Kumail Nanjiani Stars in the First Trailer for Hulu Series WELCOME TO CHIPPENDALES
A new trailer has been released for the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales, based on the story of Chippendales founder Somen “Steve” Banerjee, who is being portrayed by Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Eternals). The dark comedy crime story follows Banerjee’s journey as an Indian-American immigrant creating the wildly popular male revue show known as Chippendales.
The series also stars Spencer Boldman (Lab Rats, 21 Jump Street) as Lance McCrae, who is described as “the ultimate specimen” and the hottest Chippendales dancer of them all; Murray Bartlett of White Lotus fame stars in the series as choreographer Nick De Noia; and rounding out the supporting cast is Andrew Rannells, Dan Stevens, Juliette Lewis, Robin De Jesús, Annaleigh Ashford, Quentin Plair, and Nicola Peltz.
Robert Siegel serves as writer, executive producer and co-showrunner on the series. This looks like it’s going to be an interesting true crime story within the history of the Chippendale’s company. I look forward to checking it out. The series premieres on November 22nd on Hulu. Watch the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
