Kumail Nanjiani and Adam McKay Team Up For a Spy Comedy Called NO GLORY
No Glory is an upcoming spy comedy film from Valparaiso Pictures and it has just nabbed Kumail Nanjiani as its star.
The script is being adapted by Sam Bain from a manuscript that was written by Scott Shephard and a National Security Operative, and the film is about “the operative’s time in service to the country.” The unique account is described as “The Rambunctious Patriotism and World-Wide Shenanigans of a First Generation American in the Clandestine Service of a Grateful and Mostly Unwitting Nation.”
Bain’s script is being overseen by Nanjiani and Adam McKay who will serve as a producer alongside Will Ferrell, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, and Chris Henchy. Bobby Hoppey will be serving as executive producer. McKay had this to say about the project:
“I can’t wait to dig into this government operative and incredible story. With Kumail at the helm this has a chance to be really ‘special,’ as Kumail likes to say.”
There’s no director attached, but if McKay doesn’t end up taking it on, who do you think should direct this film?
