Kyle Hill Shares Why A.I. is Dangerous in its Current State

Science educator Kyle Hill creates fantastic videos to help the everyday person better understand scientific concepts. In his most recent video, Hill talks about the real problem with Artificial Intelligence. He uses the example of a Go amateur beating the most advanced Go-playing A.I. as the main example to talk about the fundamental problem with all A.I. currently out there. I really recommend you watch his video as he does a great job of breaking it down. The very short version is that A.I. doesn’t actually understand anything and we don’t understand A.I. very well which means if/when something goes wrong, it could have disastrous consequences.

It’s important to note that Hill does acknowledge good uses of A.I. such as in medicine. However, he’s also quick to note that we need to be very careful with A.I. as experts have warned.
