Land Rover Teams with LEGO for New Set Based on the New Defender

If you enjoy cars and LEGOs, you may be happy to hear that Land Rover and LEGO have teamed up. That’s right, the team up has resulted in the LEGO Technic New Defender model which is designed to feature an authentic-looking body and house realistic functions. One of these features is an independent suspension system. Another is an integrated winch. The kit features 2,573 pieces and has a lot to offer fans. This isn’t your 2-year-old’s LEGO set. Niels Henrik Horsted from LEGO said:

With every LEGO element, children can build anything they can imagine. I’m very excited about this new model – a truly impressive job done by our LEGO Group designers. Together with Land Rover, we’ve blended elements, design and innovative engineering into a set that shows the boundless creativity of LEGO play, and that with LEGO Technic you can build for real.

You’ll be able to purchase the LEGO Technic Defender from you local Land Rover retailer starting October 1.

Land Rover is celebrating the world premier of the New Defender with a highly detailed LEGO™ Technic© model, which offers an exciting building challenge. The New Land Rover Defender represents 70 years of innovation and improvement; honoring the vehicle's history for rugged solidity while thoroughly remaining a Defender for the 21st Century.
