Lando Calrissian's Full Name Has Been Revealed and It's Perfect
I don’t know about you, but I always thought that Lando Calrissian’s full name was Lando Calrissian. Well, it turns out that it’s not. His full name has been revealed thanks to a cane that the character will have in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The cane, which you can see a photo of below features a series of Aurebesh letters on the top of the cane and Star Wars fans have translated the letters which reveal the full name of Lando. That full name is Baron Landonis Balthazar Calrissian III.
You’ve gotta admit, that’s a perfectly badass name for the fan favorite character.
This information was originally supposed to be revealed in Solo: A Star Wars Story and a line reading from Phoebe Waller-Bridge as L3-37 was even recorded with the intention of putting it in the film, but the scene it was supposed to be in ended up being cut out.
Billy Dee Williams has returned to reprise his role and he’s very excited that he had the opportunity to come back and play this character again after all these years. He said:
"I didn't think that it would happen. I just wrote it off. I thought it was just a wonderful gift, so I'm a very, very happy human being right now. Thank you."
I love that Lando is back for this final film in the Skywalker saga and I can’t wait to see him in action again!
