Late Actor Lance Reddick Voices Lex Luthor in HARLEY QUINN Animated Spinoff KITE MAN: HELL YEAH!
We’ll get to continue to enjoy new work from late actor Lance Riddick thanks to some voice over work he completed for a DC animated project before he passed away.
According to Collider, Reddick plays Lex Luthor in the upcoming Harley Quinn spinoff series, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! Riddick’s voice is perfect for a villainous Luthor!
In the series, “Kite Man and Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom.
“Nobody said serving cold ones to the most dangerous rogues outside of Arkham Asylum would be easy, but sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and how to hide a body.”
Matt Oberg will reprise his role of Kite Man and he’ll be joined by Stephanie Hsu as Golden Glider, James Adomian as Bane, Natasia Demetriou as Malice, Janelle James as Queen of Fables, Jonathan Banks as Noonan, Keith David as Darkseid, Michael Imperioli as Joe/Moe Dubelz, Rory Scovel as Gus the Goon, the late Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor, and Judith Light as Helen Villigan.
Suzanna Makkos, executive vice president of original comedy and adult animation for HBO Max and Adult Swim said in a statement: “We love the wild and fun world of ‘Harley Quinn’ so much we just had to make a spin-off and who better to center it around than the outcast Kite Man.
“Justin, Patrick, and Dean have created the perfect local hangout for Gotham City’s not-so-finest at Noonan’s, where bar patrons can blow off steam after a long day of mayhem.”
Kite Man: Hell Yeah is executive produced by Harley Quinn co-creators Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Dean Lorey, and Kaley Cuoco. Sam Register also executive produces while Lorey serves as showrunner.
Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is coming at some point in 2024.
