Lauren Ambrose Joins YELLOWJACKETS Season 2 as a Series Regular

Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, Servant) has joined the second season of the hit Showtime series Yellowjackets as a series regular.

Ambrose will play the adult version of Vanessa Palmer, who was played as a teenager in season one by Liv Hewson. Vanessa was romantically involved with Taissa, who was played as a teen by Jasmin Savoy Brown and as an adult by Tawny Cypress in the first season.

The first season of Yellowjackets was great, and it’s been nominated for seven Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress for Melanie Lynskey and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Christina Ricci.

In the story, "Wildly talented high school girls' soccer players descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. Twenty-five years later, they discover that what began in the wild is far from over."

The story for the series flashes back and forth between two periods: One, the aftermath of a plane crash, when the members of a girls’ soccer team have to fend for themselves; the other, in their adult lives, as they deal with the trauma of that experience in very different ways.

The series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, and Ambrose will make a wonderful addition to the cast.
