Laurence Fishburne Joining Liam Neeson in Upcoming Action Adventure THE ICE ROAD

Liam Neeson is coming out with another wild action adventure film called The Ice Road, and now Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Black-ish) is joining the cast alongside him. Jonathan Hensleigh (Armageddon, The Punisher, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) is writing and directing the film.

Here’s the synopsis:

After a remote diamond mine collapses in the far northern regions of Canada, an ice driver leads an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the lives of trapped miners despite thawing waters and a threat they never see coming.

Deadline reports that Fishburne will portray, “Goldenrod, the trucking company owner who hires driver Mike (Neeson), and accompanies him on the dangerous mission.” The film will also star Ray McKinnon (Ford V Ferrari), Marcus Thomas (The Forger), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), and Amber Midthunder (Hell Or High Water).
