Leaked Trailer for Insomniac's Scrapped SPIDER-MAN: THE GREAT WEB Video Game
Last year we learned that Insomniac Games was developing a multiplayer Spider-Man game titled Spider-Man: The Great Web. The project ended up being scrapped, but a trailer for the game has leaked and it looks like it would’ve been awesome! It’s a shame that the project was canceled.
The trailer offers up more story details and also shows off some cool gameplay footage showing Spider-Gwen in action along with some of her other wall-crawler friends.
In the game, the Spider-Verse has been torn open, and it looks like this group of heroes have to battle the Sinister Six and stop them from conquering every reality.
In the trailer we hear Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker introducing the concept of the game, explaining that “Sometimes you can swing it as a lone wolf, but you’re way better off with some friends.” It also appears that players would have had the ability to play as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, and even Venom.
It’s a shame that we won’t get to play this. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
Yo how much dialogue did Yuri Lowenthal record for this cancelled Spider-Man game???
