Learn About the History of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Toys with RAD PLASTIC
Chris Fawcett used to work in the toy industry as an engineer and is an avid collector. He has made a book called Rad Plastic that is all about the history of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys, and he needs help getting a second printing live.
The first printing was for 1,000 copies of the book, but now you can have another shot at getting the book, thanks to Kickstarter. The book looks absolutely incredible and if they reach certain stretch goals, new chapters will be included! As of writing, the campaign for Rad Plastic has $22,000 out of the $30,000 goal with 20 days left.
Tracing the entire history of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line from concept development in 1987 all the way to unreleased toys from 1999, Rad Plastic reveals the history of one of the most popular and iconic toy lines in history. You’ll learn about how toys are made, from napkin sketch to store shelves, and every step in between.
Packed with interesting photos of every step of the process, Rad Plastic is not only a fantastic visual resource, but also an educational guide to the toy industry in the 90s.
