Learn How To Make the Chocolate Cake from MATILDA, Gross Ingredients and All

In the latest episode of Binging with Babish, host Andrew Rea shows us how to bake the chocolate cake from Danny DeVito's 1996 movie Matilda. If you remember the movie, though, you'll recall that blood and sweat were two ingredients that went into making the cake in the film, and never one to shy away from the movie's version of a food he's trying to replicate, Rea actually puts real blood and sweat into his cake. As good as the final product looks, I was still pretty grossed out.

Matilda, Danny DeVito's thunderous directorial follow-up to Hoffa (1992), features an inexplicably tempting chocolate cake, despite its open admission of containing bodily fluids.
