Lee Pace Says GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will Kick Ass

Of course an actor from the movie he's working on is going to say that it's going to kick ass! But in the case of James Gunn's The Guardians of the Galaxy, it really will be. In a recent interview with Total Film, Lee Pace talked about the film and the type of roles that he has been playing recently, saying that he's not sure if he'll ever play a human character again.

"A racoon with a machine gun! It's been quite an interesting year. I don't know if I'll ever play a human again! I was a vampire in Twilight, the king of the elves in The Hobbit and now an alien warlord in Guardians of the Galaxy"

Pace goes on to talk about his experience playing the villain Ronan the Accuser, and how the movie is going to kick ass.

"It was awesome! That movie's going to kick ass! We've just knocked it out of the park, it's going to be wild! I kept looking over at [director] James Gunn saying, 'Is it too much? Am I over the top? Pull me back whenever you're ready!' And he was like, 'More, more!' He's a true villain!”

Damn! Sounds like the actor just went all out villain crazy in this one! I can't wait to see what he does with this character. He's then asked if he ever read comics growing up, to which he replied,

"I'm a very curious person, I don't leave any stone unturned. I remember being interested in comics and I really liked Silver Surfer. Guardians of the Galaxy is a bit deeper into the Marvel Universe, which I think is to its advantage. Iron Man was something that people were not super-familiar with when that movie first came out. I think people are certainly going to like this film and I certainly hope they do. It's fun!"

Guardians of the Galaxy comes out in theaters on August 1st, 2014, and there's no doubt in my mind it's going to be a huge hit with Marvel movie fans.
