LEGENDARY DUELISTS: SOULBURNING VOLCANO Heats Up the YU-GI-OH! TCG This August
Following up on the announcement of a new core set, a new Speed Duel box, and the 2023 tin, Konami has announced another side set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game. The new set is Legendary Duelists: Soulburning Volcano and it’s launching this August. As you might have guessed, fire is going to be a big theme in this set. Soulburner from VRAINS is featured with Salamangreat cards and Axel Brodie’s Volcanic strategy from GX is getting new cards to burn your opponent like “Emperor of all ‘Volcanic’ monsters!” That’s not all that will be available in Soulburning Volcano though.
Battlin’ Boxers made famous in ZEXAL by Barian Emperor Alito are also getting some new cards. These cards are meant to work with FIRE Warrior monsters that make it look like Konami wants you to combine them with Infernoble Knight cards. Keep in mind that new Infernoble Knight cards will be released in Duelist Nexus and so this combination could help sell both sets if it’s actually good.
These are three pretty popular archetypes and so this has potential to really take off. Soulburning Volcano has 56 cards with the rarity breakdown below and five cards per pack.
