LEGO BRAWLS Has Officially Launched for Brick Brawling Fun
Fans knew that LEGO Brawls was releasing in late summer, but no exact date was ever announced as far as I’m aware. Then, out of seemingly nowhere, it launched on September 2! That’s right, you can play LEGO Brawls right now, so why are you still here?
The game was developed and published by the LEGO Group and Red Games Co. with Bandai Namco handling a physical release for console. LEGO Brawls is a family-friendly platform fighter with special build-and-brawl mechanics. Players can customize their minifigure in over 77 trillion possible combinations to fit their own style and strategy. More options will even be released with seasonal events and seasonal content in the future. It looks pretty darn fun. Talking about the game, Murray Andrews at LEGO Games said:
LEGO Brawls showcases LEGO play in a brand new way with its awesome family-friendly fun. Customize your minifigure and team up with your friends for some supercharged action, across all your most loved LEGO themes.

LEGO fans will find themes like the classic Space and Castle sets, Jurassic World, Ninjago, and more in both characters and levels. I kind of wish there was a way to bring Bionicles in, but I’m not sure how that would work with the minifig aesthetic. Each level will have different game modes like Collect Mode and Party Mode, win conditions, and unique challenges. Collect Mode is all about gathering collectibles, Party Mode is for playing private games with your friends either online or locally, a battle royale mode, or a free-for-brawl. Online play is supported for 4v4 matches (cross-play is integrated) across the various modes.
