LEGO Has a Radical Blockbuster Video Experience at San Diego Comic-Con - Brickbuster Video

LEGO has revealed an awesome experience at San Diego Comic-Con that pays tribute to Blockbuster Video. They have created a big Brickbuster Video booth at the San Diego convention center.

The booth was designed to transport fans back to the 90s, “when families went to their local video store to inspire their Friday night fun, by opening LEGO® Brickbuster Video – a fan experience exclusive to SDCC 2023. Booth #2829 will house the many worlds, creations, and possibilities of the LEGO brand under one fantastical, wonderfully retro “storefront” that showcases favorite entertainment and gaming properties alongside interactive photo and play moments.”

This is pretty awesome and if you’re coming to Comic-Con this year, you’ve got to check this out!

At LEGO Brickbuster Video, fans will find:  

• Immersive retro video store experience, including beloved properties, interactive fun and gaming kiosks  

• More than 50 LEGO® building sets displayed: NEW LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™, NEW LEGO® DreamZzz™, LEGO® Ninjago®, LEGO® Star Wars™, LEGO® Marvel and LEGO® Super Mario™ -- plus a few other cameos! 

• Step-in photo opps with several life-size LEGO models, including some in a new ‘movie standee’ style. LEGO Design Manager Pete Donner will be available to discuss how he created photo moments that fit the video store vibe  

• Hands-on family LEGO® building opportunity to create custom creations for the iconic “New Releases” wall 

• Convention-wide scavenger hunt featuring the familiar clamshell VHS case for fans to find and return, with prizes redeemable via the “Brick Drop” at the LEGO® Brickbuster Video info desk 

• LEGO Store pop-up with opportunities to purchase select LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog™, LEGO MARVEL™, LEGO Star Wars™, LEGO Super Mario™ sets before their street date, plus a variety of other fan favorite LEGO sets  

• Surprise giveaways including LEGO Brickbuster Video Membership Cards and exclusive pins 

• Free Build Your Own Minifigure experience with a limited-edition LEGO Brickbuster Video themed torso  

• Daily signings featuring the cast of LEGO DREAMZzz™ (Thursday 12 p.m.), LEGO Masters’ judge Amy Corbett and Season 3 winner Stacey Roy (Friday 12 p.m.), and the LEGO Ninjago cast (Saturday 1:30 p.m.) 

• Q&A session with LEGO Design Manager and Master Builder Pete Donner on Friday 5:30 – 6 p.m.  

In addition to LEGO Brickbuster Video, attendees can explore their LEGO fandom through panels and an IMDb experience.
