LEGO Releases Model of The Titanic, Their Largest Model To Date!

LEGO has revealed their largest model to date today, a 1:200 scale replica of the Titanic. This new model comes in at a whopping 9,090 pieces total, just edging out the last record holder of the Colosseum with 9,036 pieces.

This model will be able to break apart in three separate pieces to allow you to see the inner workings. These will include iconic interiors like the grand staircase, a smoking lounge, and a boiler room. The engines can be removed and when inside the model will have pistons that move when the propellers are rotated.

That’s not the only interactive piece though, there are also anchors that can be raised and lowered as well as a mechanism for adjusting the tension of the lines that run between the masts. Overall, there is just an insane amount of detail in this model.

If you want to build it yourself, it will cost $630 and will be available November 8.
