LEGO’s Epic STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION USS Enterprise-D Set Has Arrived

LEGO is taking us to warp speed with its first-ever official Star Trek set, and it’s an absolute showstopper. Fans have been waiting for this moment since the teaser dropped during Star Trek Day, and now it’s official: we’re finally getting the legendary USS Enterprise-D in glorious LEGO form.

The new LEGO Icons Star Trek: The Next Generation USS Enterprise-D set is a stunning tribute to one of the most iconic starships in sci-fi history. Made up of a whopping 3,600 pieces, this detailed build perfectly captures the majesty of the Galaxy-class starship.

It even includes a detachable saucer section, letting you recreate one of The Next Generation’s coolest features, the ship’s ability to split into two independent vessels.

The rear of the saucer even features a tiny functional shuttle bay that opens to reveal two microscopic shuttlepods. Once completed, the model measures about 10.5 inches tall, 23.5 inches long, and 18.5 inches wide, a commanding display piece worthy of any Star Trek fan’s collection.

LEGO went all out with this set. The stand displays the Enterprise-D’s technical specs and lets you tilt the ship into that perfect “in-flight” pose. And of course, no Star Trek: The Next Generation tribute would be complete without the crew.

You’ll get nine minifigures representing the main cast: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Data, Geordi La Forge, Will Riker, Deanna Troi, Beverly Crusher, Worf, Guinan, and Wesley Crusher (yes, in the classic jumper).

Each minifigure comes with series-specific accessories that will delight hardcore fans. Think phasers, tricorders, and PADDs for general Starfleet duties, along with more personal touches like a teacup for Picard, Riker’s trombone, a bottle (possibly Aldebaran whiskey?) for Guinan, and even Spot the cat for Data.

Now for the part that might make your wallet engage shields… the Enterprise-D set will cost $400 when it launches on November 28.

There’s also a cool bonus for early buyers. If you purchase the set between November 28 and December 1, LEGO will throw in an exclusive 261-piece Type-15 shuttlepod build, the Onizuka.

The shuttle includes an opening rear hatch and a working LCARS display showing stardate 45076.3, a deep cut referencing the Season 5 episode “Ensign Ro.” Naturally, this special promo also comes with a minifigure of the fiery Bajoran officer Ro Laren herself.

Whether you’re a long-time Star Trek fan or a LEGO master builder, this set is an incredible fusion of nostalgia and craftsmanship.

The LEGO Icons Star Trek: The Next Generation USS Enterprise-D will be available to preorder later this month. Set phasers to “purchase,” because this is one collectible you don’t want to miss.
