Lenovo Shows Off LaVie Mini Switch-Like PC Device
CES is happening this week and before the main festivities, Lenovo has given gamers something to talk about. The Lenovo LaVie Mini is a pocket-sized Windows PC with an 8” touch screen and wireless controllers that attach on the sides. Sound familiar? Well for starters, this looks similar to the very popular Nintendo Switch. Also, last year at CES, Alienware unveiled the UFO which was extremely similar.
We don’t know all the details of the LaVie Mini, but here’s what we do know. Powering the machine is an Intel Core i7-1180G7 CPU with an Intel Iris Xe GPU. This means that gamers shouldn’t be expecting to play heavier games like Cyberpunk 2077 any time soon. We also know that there will be an optional dock available to allow the device to easily connect to a TV or monitor for 4K and 60FPS gaming. In addition, the device has an optical touch sensor instead of a trackpad due to its size and third-party controllers will be supported.
Sadly, we don’t know release date, price, or anything else about the LaVie Mini. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about it as CES goes on. What are your thoughts on the device?
