Let's Talk About CLONE WARS Season 7 Episode 4 - "Unfinished Business"
Over the weekend, Star Wars: The Clone Wars aired “Unfinished Business.” This episode had a very important answer for me and others after the end of the last episode. You can watch new episodes of The Clone Wars every Friday on Disney+.
I really liked how this episode let more characters in again. For the last couple of episodes we’ve only focused on Anakin, Rex, and the Bad Batch. This episode brought Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi back into the mix. They go after Admiral Trench, and Echo has the plan of feeding the Separatists bad intel since he can now do stuff like that.
At one point when Mace and Obi-Wan are fighting droids on the ship, it is a little odd because Mace gives a preamble about how many droids he’s destroyed and offers them a chance to surrender. I felt like that was more of an Obi-Wan line, but am I wrong? It was a great moment either way.
As I watched the episode though, and Anakin confronted Trench, it did raise a giant question: How did the Jedi not see Anakin turning to the dark side? It’s not hard to see. He straight up murders Trench, is constantly angry...I’m not crazy, right?
Finally, we were also shown that Echo was not secretly a bad guy. Hallelujah! Throughout the entire episode, I was just waiting for Echo to betray them and have that lead to the death of the Bad Batch. What I got though was a very heartfelt and touching goodbye between Rex and Echo. I choked up a little when Rex tells Echo to join the Bad Batch.
Holy cow, what’s next?
