Let's Talk About GO GO POWER RANGERS #31

I know I’m a little late to the party, but at the end of May, BOOM! Studios released Go Go Power Rangers #31, the penultimate issue of the series. This episode gets us almost caught up with the past in the Necessary Evil arc and it gets a little emotional. GGPR #32 shows us what happened with Baboo, Goldar, and Squat and it turns out that while they were getting close to victory in stealing this dagger, Squat decided they needed to do more and try to abduct Grace. Things seem to be going well until the Rangers stop them from taking Grace who then does something to the dagger. We’re lead to believe that it’s destroyed, but then while Billy and Zack are talking, Billy strongly hints that something else is going on with it.

We also have Jason dealing with his home life and Trini dealing with Kim being jealous and upset about them going off with Zack all the time on “scuba trips.” Jason’s dad eventually has a bit of a heart to heart with him after one of the intergalactic quests and tells him to go out and do good. This leads to the Omega Rangers deciding to leave and they then go on to tell Zordon they’re going to a peace summit in Switzerland. Zordon says he’s proud of them and now they just need to find replacements.

Finally, Zedd yells at Baboo, Goldar, and Squat for failing, with much of the vitriol aimed at Squat. This of course leads Squat to have more self-esteem problems. Finally, we see Zedd is getting ready to launch Serpentera! Holy cow things are going to get real soon.
