Let's Talk About LEGO MASTERS Season Finale

It’s here! The finale of the first season of LEGO Masters has aired. We now have our first ever LEGO Masters in the world, and it was an exciting episode. All of the builds were incredible, but in the end, only one could win. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, this is your spoiler warning. All episodes are available on Hulu now.

Before we talk about the winners, I want to say that I loved this. The whole season was fantastic, and this finale was no different. The builders really gave this their all, and honestly, all the builds were phenomenal. All the teams brought their ‘A’ game. Also, can you imagine working on a LEGO build for 24 hours? Holy cow!

So, who won? Tyler & Amy won, and that made me so happy. I’ve really liked them for a while now and this final build was stunning. I love the way they create characters and this time, it was really enhanced by the way they got the wings of their mama griffon to flap. That is so intricate. I honestly would have no idea of how to do that. I loved going through it with the critique of Amy Corbett and Jamie Beard and seeing some of the details on the ground. There was a wake of destruction, more characters, and a whole world to make the build outstanding.

Mark & Boone may have come in second, but their “Artopia” build was no slouch. The way that they brought life to their build was awesome. I was really worried when they were talking about their build because it kept sounding like other builds that they had done, but in the end, they did make a unique build. The contrast they created between the color and darker areas really popped. Of course, the most impressive part to me was the color sensor they used that could flip some of their panels.

Finally, Sam & Jessica. Their build was fantastic as well and had probably the most humor in my opinion. The look of the peacock was great with its open, shocked eyes and mouth, while the monkey almost looked mischievous while stealing that feather and sewing it onto their hat. It was a very fun build.

I actually agree 100% with the results of the judges. Before they made any announcements, I made my predictions and was perfect. What did you think of the builds? Which was your favorite?
