Let's Talk About MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #49
OH BOY! Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #49 was another action-packed issue that continues to build the tension. It continues the “Necessary Evil” story and is written by Ryan Parrott with art by Daniele di Nicuolo. You can purchase your copy today from local comic stores, comiXology, Google Play, and Madefire.
This issue features Kiya becoming crazier and crazier. What’s even crazier is that she gets called out on being a “power hungry egomaniacal warlord” by Kimberly, and she’s fine with that. AGH! I don’t understand how people can recognize they’re evil and not think it’s a problem. She is written so incredibly well.
At this point, all the Rangers gather and morph. Then it becomes a battle with the Omega Rangers in Zords fighting Garrison Vox and the Power Rangers are fighting Dayne. Both teams seem to be getting their butts kicked and it’s crazy, but there’s one hope left in this universe.
Ranger Slayer and Xi go for the Master Arch which will then transport Ranger Slayer to a different dimension. Along the way, they have to fight some Xi copies and they do a fine job of it. I actually greatly enjoy Xi in this episode. He’s got some great comedic moments and it’s nice to see more of his personality. The question is, where is Ranger Slayer going? My current theory is that she’s going to get Drakkon. I can’t figure out what else it could be. What do you think the mission is?
