Gran, Duncan and Rose are on a new quest to learn more about Merlin's plan when they come face-to-face with another mysterious knight of legend. But if they want to track down the powerful Nimue and stay one step ahead of their enemy, it seems the trio will need to play this knight's game, whether they like it or not…
Picking up after the preview, Rose is able to get a good swing in on the Green Knight and effectively become Gawain. Bridgette’s a little worried since Rose isn’t very close to Gawain in the stories and “The closer you are, the better it is…” Bridgette writes off the Green Knight as steam and more of a side effect rather than part of the actual happenings.
We do get to see a nice side of Bridgette though as she talks with one of the dying Nazis the Green Knight murdered. It’s nice to see the more compassionate side of her. She finds out that a cauldron is somehow involved with Mary and her kid and all that mess which apparently is a big problem. So, she and Duncan take the dead Nazi’s motorcycle and run off to the family home.
Meanwhile, Rose goes home and does a reading. The problem is that she is getting readings everywhere! She even goes and grabs steak knives to supplement her pins and it’s bad. Before she can call Duncan though, Mary pulls a gun on her and that’s where we end. How dare you Gillen!
I’m still thoroughly enjoying this series. Do you know what the deal with this cauldron is? My only thought is Lloyd Alexander’s The Black Cauldron, but I’m sure I’m wrong on that one.
