Let's Talk About SEVEN SECRETS #8

Holy crap! Seven Secrets has gone from an 8 to an 11 on the intensity meter! Tom Taylor, Daniele di Nicuolo, and Walter Baiamonte have gone crazy with this next chapter and Seven Secrets #8 is only ramping things up. If you haven’t read it yet, you can grab a physical copy from your local comic shop or digital copies from comiXology (affiliate link) or wherever you like to buy comics. BOOM! Studios provided a copy for me to read.

The Order has managed to find their way through the land of Faerie, but danger awaits them on the other side. After experiencing such loss, can Caspar continue to keep his vow as a Holder to protect the Secrets before all else?

Picking up where the preview left off, Canto breaks Napoleon’s head and the team uses their current facilities to find out that the first secret was unleashed. The first secret apparently has the ability to wipe out an entire country and so the entirety of Switzerland is now gone. So much for being neutral. Eva refuses to believe that the Seekers have a mole and sends people out on tasks to acquire transportation and to remove any nearby Seekers. All of these jobs are done soundly. Their transport is a tour bus and they’re able to get rid of the Seekers tailing them and hopefully, they’ll find some peace for a minute.

On the other side of things, Amon is a little upset at being betrayed, but then furious when he finds out Tajana is dead. He loses it and kills one of the Seekers when questioned about Tajana’s importance. When he finds out that the good guys have escaped for now, he demands to see the Council (after he showers of course). He claims he can still get the secrets because he has someone on the inside. This directly conflicts with Eva’s belief and definitely makes a little sense at least. Is Eva the mole? I just honestly have no idea.

I love the intensity that this issue brought and I can’t wait to see where the story leads.
