Let's Talk About SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #6
Something is Killing the Children #6 is now available from your local comic stores as well as digital distributors including comiXology, Google Play, iBook, and Madefire. This issue has some pretty nuts things, but overall was kinda slow. It’s dealing with the last issue and trying to ramp up to the next one. Nevertheless, there are some things to talk about.
So, we start by learning a bit more about the night that James and his friends went into the woods that got everyone but James killed. We then go to Erica and Tommy in the hospital checking in on James who is very much asleep. Tommy wants more information, but Erica won’t tell him anything eventually leading to her breaking his arm. Ouch.
We then have the local police investigating the cave and trying to figure out what to do. None of them like what’s going on, and rightly so. There’s a lot of bad stuff going on. Meanwhile, Erica goes to check up on Bian at what appears to be the Sheriff’s office? She talks a bit with Bian, who informs Erica that the monster had five babies that fed on the dead children. An interesting part here is that Bian doesn’t mind the children being eaten because they were dead. It’s a mentality similar to making sure nothing is wasted. Well, the kids are dead so they may as well be food for a monster. She even draws a picture of the babies and a picture of Erica fighting the monster.
We then see who can only be Erica’s family, the Slaughters. They have crazy masks like Erica and fancy suits. The woman tells the man that he’s in trouble with the Grandmaster because of how much freedom Erica gets. Then we get the bomb of the issue. Erica isn’t a Slaughter by blood! Well, that’s what I’m inferring anyways. Poor Tommy though. He’s going to die.
