Let's Talk About SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #7

The next issue of Something is Killing the Children is out, and it’s full of intrigue. If you haven’t read Something is Killing the Children #7 yet, this is your warning that spoilers abound. You can purchase your copy from local comic shop or other retailers including comiXology.

Picking up where the preview left off, we see Erica and the creepy octopus doll in a tree as they seem to be trying to hunt down some of the monsters. Unfortunately, it’s not working, and we find out it’s because the monsters, called Oscuratypes, are only corporeal when they’ve eaten. It also turns out that they’re concentrated fear. This is all thanks to a conversation Erica has with Aaron, who seems like a complete tool if I’m being honest.

Aaron wants to use James and Bian as bait for the creatures. Erica clearly doesn’t want that and tries defending them, but Aaron claims to see right through her. “We’re not heroes. We’re hunters.” Like good hunters, they just want to bring their prey down, and the best way is to use bait. Pretty cold when you look at it from a wider lens though.

Finally, Tom calls Gail and tells her to make sure no one gets Bian except him. Oh boy, this is going to get interesting. I foresee Tom and Erica getting to Bian at the same time and chaos ensuing.
