Let's Talk About SPY X FAMILY Vol. 2

The second volume of Spy X Family is officially out from VIZ Media and I love it. The story is getting to be quite fun and the plot certainly thickens at the end. If you haven’t been able to read it yet, I can’t recommend it enough. You can purchase a copy from your local stores or through digital outlets like comiXology.

Anya didn’t initially get in, but she was able to get the top spot on the waiting list! I’m so proud of her. She’s such a cute little girl who just wants to help her “parents.” She does get in the school and that’s when Twilight really starts freaking out. He needs her to either make friends with Damian Desmond or become an academic scholar. Neither plan has gone well.

I love the relationships being formed by the Forger family. Anya and Yor are so cute together and Yor is such a good mom. Twilight tries, but it’s a challenge. He does find little victories here and there and I find it hilarious how Twilight rented a castle so they could celebrate Anya getting in. That was hilarious.

We also got to meet Yor’s brother Yuri and find out he’s part of the secret police SSS. He’s trying to hunt down Twilight. That’s going to make things really interesting. Also, Yor never told Yuri that she’s “married” and someone else tells him. I’m sure that makes him at least sad if not a little mad. However, he then decided to visit Yor and her new “family.” We end with Yuri arriving at their home and yeah. This isn’t going to go poorly at all. I did really like when Twilight pulled out the “Lovey-Dovey Marriage Kit” and Anya says Yor and Twilight should kiss. They’re quick to dismiss it, but it’s a funny moment.

I’m loving this manga more and more. It’s just a lot of fun to read and the characters are a blast. I would definitely recommend this series to any manga fans.
