Let's Talk About THE CLONE WARS Season 7 Episode 3 - 'On the Wings of Keeradaks'
Episode 3 of Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, “On the Wings of Keeradaks,” is now available to watch on Disney+ and I’m here to talk about it. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, this is your warning that spoilers are on their way. New episodes are available every Friday.
We start with Anakin and the Bad Batch fighting off the droids of the Tech Union while Tech of the Bad Batch and Rex unhook Echo from this machine. They eventually get him disconnected, but now they have to worry about some incredibly deadly droid that floats through holes it made in the doors and tries shocking everyone. Thankfully, the Force is able to help get everyone to safety after Wrecker throws most of the clones up what appears to be an exhaust port. Eventually, the group make it back to the local Poletec village. The Poletecs don’t take too kindly to this and for good reason. The droids are about to attack their village. Rex is able to use Echo to show that the war is already on their planet though and that gets them to all team up and take down the Separatist, I mean Tech Union, forces.
The fight is pretty good with everyone giving it their all and we get some fun with Wrecker throwing Rex again. Some Poletecs die, but most live and they say they’ll always be there to help the Jedi. Now, we get to the most interesting part in my opinion: Echo. As Anakin and the clones climb aboard their ship, Rex talks about how everything will go back to how it was, the camera goes to Echo who echoes the statement, but there’s something off. Maybe it’s his now-yellow eyes, but the way that he says it and the pause after really raise a lot of questions.
First, after all he’s been through, does he have the chip that will have the clones turn on the Jedi? Is he now some double agent or maybe even a sleeper agent? Am I freaking out for no reason? Hm...that can’t be it.
This episode was just more of the same in my opinion, but that last five seconds or so made me start questioning so much. Do you think something is off about Echo now?
