Levar Burton Expects To Appear In STAR TREK: PICARD as Geordi La Forge

As you know, Levar Burton played Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was a great character and a lot of fans have been wondering if the other characters from that classic Star Trek series will be appearing in the upcoming series Star Trek: Picard.

After all, the show will focus on Patrick Stewart’s legendary character, Jean-Luc Picard. Well, Burton seems to think it will happen and expects that Geordi and many members of the Enterprise crew will return.

While speaking to CNN, Burton explained, “Each of us, I would say certainly, right? It is unreasonable to assume that he doesn't know those people anymore, or that he stopped talking to them. And if he did there's good storytelling in why."

I hope to see some of these characters return, even if it’s not a big aspect of the story, it would be cool to see them appear in some way. But, there could be a story regarding why Picard didn’t keep in contact with these characters and there’s also a chance we may not see any one of them return. 

Burton goes on to say that while we may see some characters return, he doesn’t expect to see a full on reunion with all of the characters back together again:

“Are you gonna see all of us together, again, in a scene or episode? I don't know. There's a lot of paper that needs to be papered, before we get there."
